My Yoke Is Easy And My Burden Light

Jesus said: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your selves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light." (Mt 11:28-30).

Lord, You ask me to take up Your yoke upon me, because Your yoke is easy and Your burden light. What makes Your yoke easy and what makes Your burden light?

It is your interior disposition to the yoke and burden that makes it either easy or difficult. My son, I am meek and humble of heart. Have you learned from Me? Are you growing in meekness and humility? The difficulties themselves are not the issue, because they will always be there. How you interact with the problems make the difference.

I said, My yoke is easy and My burden light. Indeed, I came to redeem all of humanity; every human problem has become Mine. The Son of Man came to teach all how to interact with the world and all its difficulties so that these do not become a stumbling block to access to Heaven. Heaven is the ultimate goal of humanity, and I am the way to Heaven. You are in the world but not of the world, even as I am in the world but not of the world. Eternal life is to know the Father, and the one whom He sent, Jesus Christ.

My son, every yoke is Mine. Whenever you make a yoke yours, you take Me out of the picture; with that you become burdened, restless and anxious, and have no peace. I want you to have peace that surpasses understanding. My yoke is easy and My burden light. When you don’t unite your yoke and your burden to Mine in a spirit of surrender, they remain difficult and burdensome.

A meek and humble attitude is important. This means having an attitude of surrender to Me. The yoke and burden that I give you are not yours. They are given for a purpose that is greater than you. I will reveal to you the secret of My easy yoke and light burden. I told My Apostles the following: “Whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave. Just so, the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many (Mt 20:27-28).

If you approach every yoke and every burden with the attitude of a servant or slave, you will know that the master who gave them to you will assist you to carry them, since you will not carry them alone. This is what makes My yoke easy and My burden light.

Martha burdened with much serving was anxious and worried, because she made service a thing of control and manipulation; she had no choice but to complain. A true and humble servant does not complain, but accepts all things as if they have come directly from the bosom of the Father. It was My deep privilege to serve and model servant leadership for you. Martha did not have a surrendered heart or a servant’s disposition. She was the mistress of her yoke and burdens, and these deprived her of interior peace. She had to learn these, and she became perfect like Mary who chose to surrender in her listening posture, so that all her problems became Mine, and in Me she had peace and rest without worry, fear or anxiety.
